The holiday originated when Grasshopper co-founders David Hauser and Siamak Taghaddos noticed America lacked a day dedicated to entrepreneurs. After a successful petition campaign, President Obama officially proclaimed the first National Entrepreneur’s Day in November 2010. In 2012, November was declared National Entrepreneurship Month.
